  • How can I join?

    Membership to the City Watch is open to all retailers, businesses and other parties involved and concerned with reducing crime in Welwyn Garden City town centre. We currently have 41 members and many more looking to join the scheme. You can join the scheme at any point throughout the year.

  • What is the Welwyn Garden City Watch?

    Welwyn Garden City Watch is a partnership of local retailers, businesses, the police and other organisations. It aims to improve public safety and reduce crime and disorder in the town.

  • Why should I join?

    In the last year 25 people have been arrested as a direct result of the WGC Watch scheme.  Many more have been stopped, preventing the crime occurring.  By reducing the opportunity to criminals to offend, the town centre is no longer an easy target for them.
