Civic Awards 2009
The Civic Awards, is an award scheme from Welwyn Hatfield Council. They are presented annually to people who live or work in the borough for extraordinary commitment, dedication, energy and effort in their field or towards achieving a particular goal. This is the third year the awards, sponsored by Serco (the council’s service partner for Streetscene services) have taken place.
Nominations for the Civic Awards 2009 are now open.
How do I nominate someone?
Nominations can be submitted at any time. Each person nominated needs to be supported by two nominees. You can download a nomination leaflet online or pick one up from any council reception. You can also request a leaflet by phoning 01707 357000 or emailing contact-whc@welhat.gov.uk
What's the deadline for nominations?
Nominations must be submitted by Friday 13 February 2009.
Awards
Up to four winners will be selected from nominations received, and will be selected by a Community Awards Panel chaired by the Mayor. Awards will be presented at next year's AGM on Monday 18 May 2009.
