Update on council services disrupted due to adverse weather conditions.

Due to the severe snowy weather throughout the borough there were disruptions to some council services on Thursday 8 February. Please read on for further information on how services have been affected.

Serco did not make any refuse or recycling collection rounds on Thursday 8 February, due to the fact it was considered unsafe for workers to carry heavy refuse over over slippery surfaces and also that it is unwise to send HGV refuse trucks onto snow laden roads.

In order to catch up with missed collections, refuse that should have been collected on Thursday 8 February will be collected on Friday 9 February. Refuse that would have been collected on Friday 9 February will now be collected on Saturday 10 February.

We would like to assure residents that refuse services will return to by Monday 12 February. All other council services are now running normally.
